                                                                  WINTER
                                                                                  HAS

THE PROMISE OF SPRING HAS ARRIVED .........
                       PLANNING TO STAY!

                                        JUNE 2011

 BEHIND SNOW CAPPED CRANE MOUNTAIN
TO THE EAST OF OUR TOWN,
IS THE WARMTH OF SUN RISING ...
 SUNNY DAYS WILL ABOUND.

BIRDS ARE SEARCHING FOR A PLACE AS A NEST ....

AND  HUMMINGBIRDS BUZZ
TO AND FRO IN SEARCH OF NECTAR ...
AND A BIT OF A REST.

JOHNY JUMP-UPS SMILE

DAFFODILS IN THEIR FINEST ARRAY .......  SEEM TO BECKON ..... COME OUT AND PLAY!

"GOLDEN-POPSICLE GOLDFISH" AWAKENING FROM A LONG WINTER REST
DOING WHAT THEY DO .... EAT MOSQUITOS AND OTHER AIR BORN PESTS.

(I didn't set out to write this
 as
a poem sing-songy,
it's just the way
the words fall......
hmmmm, can't think of anything to rhyme with 'songy'.
Oh I know .... sing-songy 'aint wrongy ....
nope ... I'll have to work on it.)

.......................................................
June 2011 is the Springtime post in my blog,
" Widows Helping Other Widows"

 The emptiness  of  a
long
long
 winter
is like the stark, empty days ...
weeks
months
of the emptiness I
felt in my heart after Eldon died.
He died in the winter ...

After two and a half years on my own
I'm just now starting
to
look
forward to Spring ....

There's so much to look forward to ....
like having Hunter teach me how to catch a BIG one.

and get to know Damion and brother Will  who live far away.

and dance at Devon and
Maya's
weddings!

and many more games of dominoes with Conner

and giggle and listen to music with Aiden

I want to go on a hike with
Damion, Will, Drew and David.

Trenton and Tyler ..
they don't even know me! I'll have to fix that.

I have so much to look forward to  ......

This is the
third
Springtime
of my life as a widow

And learning a lesson from the flowers of Spring ...

I'm ready to start BLOOMING .... again and again.
